Međugorje

It's hard to comprehend the scale of the scrapyard in Međugorje with separate photos of each vehicle.
In a field on the outskirts of a village with under 3.000 inhabitants, over 60 buses are awaiting their fate in the blazing Bosnian sun.

While most of them are only around 20 years old, their mileages often reach into the millions, making it more economical to replace them with newer ones.
These old buses are slowly but surely dismantled, stripped for reusable parts and scrapped.
