One of two buses of the THW (Technisches Hilfswerk / federal civil rescue organisation) which were in service on that day on a shuttle service between the Nürburgring, where the rescue efforts for the Ahr valley flooding disaster were coordinated, and the Holiday Park in Drees, where the members of the THW stayed.
